I was literally ignored when I wanted to purchase different furniture pieces. Don't get me wrong, the pieces were beautiful, but the staff was awful, so I opted to not purchase the pieces after waiting for over an hour asking for prices...just prices! This was this past summer, and frankly, it seems as though the whole staff is more concerned with their cell phones then their clients. There are better boutiques to shop in while summering in the Hamptons or even if you are local. Head the warning, though their coffee is decent.
The Google User review from six years ago is outdated and wildly unfair. In my experience, over the past 15 years, the staff people at Sylvester & Company have been unfailingly friendly and helpful in spite of the relentless pressure put on them by impatient summer people and one-percenter entitlement freaks. This store is always cool.
